I met a waitress from the coast
with hair of fire eyes like jade
she was so wrapped up in the moment
laughing at every word i'd say
i met a mob of grad students
a lively, captive audience
they were vivacious, of the sun
oh they were lithe and they were young
and i loved every one of them
for a brief moment inside my muddled head
but i never got to the end
to the place where i wouldn't have to say it again
"I told you so - we're chasing ghosts"
i found the fire in my head
was getting too much oxygen
you thought that we'd be safe and sound
but girl that fire's gaining ground
yea this scorched earth policy
it's where all roads seem to lead
while that waitress from the coast
is left alone and chasing ghosts
you say you're so glad you found me
but you ain't found no one
just a spectre with a lonely liars tongue
This album is really 2013 but in a good way. It encapsulates the feeling of being a teenager in the early 2010s or even just being in your late teens altogether Ambrose
This one falls in the sweet spot (for me) between their older raw sound and newer slightly more polished sound. Great album chocked with catchy tunes. scottgilby

Been following Somos for many years, feeling that they had an opus in them...well, here it is. Driving pop-punk sensibilities lend an upbeat tone in contrast to the grim lyrical proceedings, and they absolutely pull it off. Evocative music that's been on repeat for me all month long.
